Public Landscape and Street Furniture (3 Vol.)

This book contains three volumes, each with unique focus and feature. The icon images bring more direct and rich information. Volume 1, named “Public Landscape”, includes famous squares, parks and playgrounds design from all over the world. Volume 2 is the architectural landscape, mainly including the following three categories: Architectural Formative Arts and Structure, Observation Platform, Signage. Innovative architectural formative arts and structure always give people a fresh feeling. The bold observation platform design not only attracts tourists, but also is worth referencing. The signage is functional, image and direct. Volume 3, “Street Furniture", includes Bench, Bicycle Rack, Bus Shelters, Lighting, Drinking Fountain, Trash and trees Protective Device. These street facilities not only cover a lot, and with powerful features, make the city streets more beautiful.

The purpose of this book is to design a book with applied examples of the amenity elements in the street furniture and to accomplish the public facilities on a higher level as one of the design method to upgrade the quality of citizens’ lifestyle in the city environments. Especially with the stress of digital city environments development, comfortable public space and street furniture make citizens’ lifestyle more energetic and effective.
